Hi!

Welcome to DIY Darling! I'm a twenty-something figuring out how to design my dream life on a dime. Let's take this journey together!

Friendsgiving Decor Ideas

Friendsgiving Decor Ideas

The season of gathering and giving thanks is upon us, and there is no better way to do so than hosting a fall party or friendsgiving. My birthday is November 21st, so this year I decided to throw a harvest party filled with fall DIYs, a bonfire, cornhole, and lots of good food and drinks. Any of these ideas would be perfect for a Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving event.

Fall Bouquet Takeaway

  • bulk flowers (I love Trader Joe’s for this, I think all of the flowers pictured here were less than $50 total)

  • mismatched glass vases (I scored at a local thrift store and got twelve vases for $12)

  • scissors

This fall DIY could work for any season, but there’s something so special about seeing greenery and flowers as the seasons change and the world outside slowly goes dormant.

Not only does this double as Friendsgiving decoration, your guests will get to leave with a party favor that will make their own home beautiful for days to come. It seemed like everyone loved putting together their personalized bouquet. Flowers always bring a smile to my face, and I loved getting to do the same for my friends and family.

caramel apple station

Caramel Apple Station

  • Crock pot

  • Mason jars

  • Caramel cubes

  • White chocolate chips

  • Milk chocolate chips

  • Wooden skewers

  • Cupcake tin (filled with a variety of toppings)

  • Sliced apples

There’s nothing quite as fall-themed as a carmel apple. This deconstructed dessert is simple to put together and delicious to enjoy. First, add the caramel cubes, white chocolate chips, and milk chocolate chips to their respective mason jars. Place inside the crock pot, and fill with water. Keep the temperature on HIGH while everything melts, and then turn it to LOW to keep everything warm.

Fill each slot in the cupcake tin with a variety of toppings. Pictured here: sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, coconut flakes, granola, mini m&ms.

Pierce an apple slice with a wooden skewer, cover it in the melted dip of your choice, and then roll it in your preferred topping. Enjoy!

Spiced Cider with mugs and cinnamon sticks

Spiced Cider

  • Le Creuset Dutch oven

  • 1 gallon of cider

  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of Allspice

  • Cinnamon sticks

  • Whiskey (optional)

Add the cider, brown sugar, and Allspice to the Dutch oven, bringing to a boil on a stovetop. Cover and lower the temperature to LOW. Set of a few mugs or glasses nearby, as well as the cinnamon sticks and whiskey. Let guests serve themselves - it’s so tasty and cozy, perfect for a crisp fall evening!

Be sure to include delicious food and beverages of your choosing to go along with the rest of the Friendsgiving Decor Ideas. I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving week, filled with nourishing meals, time with loved ones, and a grateful heart. I’m grateful for all of you, each and every day.

Happy Thanksgiving!
